Effective 25 August 2026
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Shang Tai Chi handles information collected through the online course registration service.
Information we collect
We collect your first name, email address, acceptance of the Terms of Access, the applicable terms and privacy versions, consent timestamps, optional marketing consent and information needed to manage your course-access status.
Why we collect it
We use this information to process registrations, maintain evidence of consent, approve and administer course access, communicate service information, protect the course and respond to enquiries. If you separately choose marketing communications, we may also send course news and offers.
Marketing choice
Marketing consent is optional and is not required to request course access. Marketing messages will identify the sender and include a simple way to unsubscribe. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time by using the unsubscribe facility or contacting us.
Storage and service providers
Registration records are stored using Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare also provides secure course access and email one-time-code authentication. Information may be processed in locations where these service providers operate, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information to service providers that help operate the registration, hosting, authentication and email services; where required by law; or to protect users, the service or our legal rights.
Retention and security
We take reasonable steps to protect registration records. We retain consent and access records for as long as reasonably needed to operate the course, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes, then delete or de-identify them where appropriate.
Access, correction and questions
You may ask to access or correct your information, withdraw marketing consent, or raise a privacy concern by emailing jamesdshang@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
